Family Science Time

Join the Environmental Science Center for our drop-in family science time. Each session features a different STEM topic with hands-on activities and crafts to keep your kids learning all year long! Stop by during any part of our event time to be a part of the fun. These programs are open to all ages, but best recommended for families with scientists grades K-5.

March Plant Science Activities
- Native Plant Crayon Rubbings
- Native Plant Scavenger Hunt
- Flower Dissection: Folks will learn the different parts of a flower by dissecting them. They can take a closer look at the parts under a microscope too!
- Tataki Zome: Folks will use the dissected flowers to create an art piece with the flower pigment by crushing the flowers onto a cloth
- Design a Flower: Create your own flower using crafts and coloring tools!”
