Scholarships - Family First Community Center

The Family First Community Center will be offering youth (ages 5-18) summer 2025 art scholarships in part by a grant from the City of Renton Municipal Arts Commission.

When is the application open?

Application opens on Mon. June 23rd and closes on Mon. July 23rd (dependent on available funds)
Who can apply for this scholarship?

The scholarship is for students ages 5-18 years old. Although this is open to students of all areas/communities BUT our focus and priority will be to youth of the Benson Hill and Cascade Area.

How much funds will I receive in my scholarships?

Recipients will receive a max of 7 free classes.

What programs does this scholarship cover?
Studio Vignette Collective w/ Hyunjoo: Art Around the World Pt. 3
- $15 student/class
- Classes begin and end: Mon. August 4th- Thu. August 7th
- Max capacity: 15 students
Acrylic Painting (Youth) w/ Jordan: ($15 students/class.)
- $15 student/class
- Classes begin and end: Wed. June 25th- Wed. August 20th
- Max capacity: 15 students
Do funds rollover?

No, students will have to apply each season/year if interested.
Can a family apply for multiple scholarships for multiple children?

Yes, although reward determination may be dependent on available funds.
How will I know if I've been awarded a scholarship?

Applications are reviewed within 2 weeks.
