This program is for children ages 5 and under with adult. Please join us in the Community Meeting room for this program.

Goal of this program

The King County Library System’s story times focus on five simple but powerful ways to help children get ready to succeed in school. These practices are: reading, talking, singing, writing, and playing.

Before children can learn to read, they must develop a range of early literacy skills. At story times, KCLS Children’s Librarians demonstrate to parents and caregivers a variety of ways they can engage with their children and incorporate early learning into their daily routine.
