SUMMARY:Inter-Generational Storytelling Summer Series
DESCRIPTION:The inter-generational storytelling program invites adults aged 40 and older to reflect on and share their personal life journeys. Through guided group conversations\, one-on-one interviews\, and memory prompts\, participants will co-create a professionally bound storybook that captures their lived experiences. Each participant receives 1 personalized\, bound book by September 10\, 2025. Participants engage in 8 facilitated sessions. Video testimonials and photos are archived in the Family First digital memory library. Celebration day to close the summer session with joy and gratitude. \nThe deadline to register for the season is July 16th. Pre-register in advance on MyActiveCenter. \nThis class will take place in the Activities Lounge Quiet Room. On July 16th and August 20th\, this class will take place in the Community Meeting Room.

These events are designed to bring the community together through hands-on experiences in robotics\, programming\, and engineering problem-solving. \nWhether you’re a curious K-8 student\, a high school student interested in robotics\, or an adult engineer looking to give back\, there’s something for everyone:\nK-6 Students can explore creativity and teamwork with fun and engaging activities using LEGO Prime kits. \nGrades 7-12 can dive into more advanced builds using FTC robotics kits\, guided by experienced adult and high school mentors. \nAdults and local engineers are invited to collaborate\, share expertise\, and help mentor students — a great way to get involved and potentially join our support network for the upcoming robotics season. \nEach session offers flexible participation\, so drop in when you can — no prior experience is necessary. Our goal is to foster a vibrant\, inclusive community centered around STEM learning and collaboration. \nDrop-ins are accepted.
