Nurturing Roots

Nurturing Roots is focused on educating youth and community members on health and food consciousness, promoting awareness about social justice issues that plague our communities, and providing resources to support a healthier environment. Activities include everything from germination to water irrigation to harvest. Over the course of a growing season, participants broaden their understanding about where foods comes from, how to grow and prepare it.

Scheduled Monday programs are for teens only and Saturday scheduled programs are intergenerational.
